Her second single I Kissed A Girl topped charts worldwide and has sold in excess of 1,897,000 downloads to date. Here is just one of the many remixes of the song, The Knocks Remix. Long before this girl was singing about kissing girls, she sung gospel in church. The result? A christian pop album! This is the debut album from Katy Perry, which was released under the name of Katy Hudson. The album was released in 2001 when she was just 16 years old. It was released by Red Hill Records, an independent Christian record label, and unfortunately it failed to make an impact on the charts. Katy co-wrote many of the songs on the album, however don't expect it to have the edge and wit of One Of The Boys!
